Alberto G. Rumolo is a Filipino politician born on August 7, 1933 who served under numerous Departments in the Philippine government. Graduating from BS Accountancy in De La Salle University Rumolo was born from a prestigious family in the country and holds high esteem from the people in the government.
His first position in office was an Assemblyman for Quezon City in 1984 to 1986 until he moved up the ranks to Senator in 1987. As Rumolo reputation grew, so did his position. By 1991, Rumolo was the Majority Floor Leader of the Senate of the Philippines when Corazon Aquino took office in 1991. After 1996, Rumolo had a short break from the spotlight but came back big as the 26th Secretary of the Philippine Department of Finance and he Executive Secretary of the Philippines for the regime of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. His latest position, which ended in Feburary 25, 2011, was the 23rd Secretary of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs.
