In 2006, Nix Lañas received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Arts in De la Salle. During her stay in La Salle she was a part of the Green Media Group.
At the Cinemalaya 2007 her film together with Nisha Alicer, Doble Vista, was a part of it. It won the Audience Award for Best Short Film. The same film was nominated for the Gawad Urian Award for the same category which was Best Short Film.
After graduating she did not cut her ties with De la Salle University, in fact she was a part time faculty of the Department of Communication and she taught the course VPRODUC. Also during the Centennial Opening Celebration she was the cinematographer of the Centennial Tree video.
Currently, she works as a director at Channel [V] and owns One Door Productions (1DP) which is a manila-based digital video production company.
