he’s on Myx, Studio 23, and ABS-CBN, who wouldn’t be familiar with her?

Raelene Elaine Ebaler Villania, or Iya Villania was born on June 29, 1986 in Camperdown, New South Wales in Australia to Filipino parents Ray and Elena Villania. She learned to play the piano at the age of 8, and was influenced by her dad’s fondness for karaoke. At the age of 13, she has already opened shows for Pops Fernandez, Martin Nievera, APO Hiking Society, and Jaya in Australia.

Iya was persuaded by her current manager Arnold Vegafria to be a singer in the Philippines, so she left Australia with her mom to try her luck in the Philippines. At first, Iya had a hard time getting around the city and learning the language, but she eventually got used to it. She continued her secondary education at Collegio San Agustin, Makati and graduated in 2004. Afterwards, she pursued a college degree in De La Salle University by taking up AB Psychology. Despite her hectic schedules, Iya managed to be a consistent dean’s lister and graduated in the year 2009.

Iya’s television career started off as an interactive game show host on IBC 13. She then became part of Click, a youth oriented program on GMA 7. Iya did a few more shows on GMA and then later transferred to ABS-CBN where she started out as a VJ for the network’s music channel, Myx.

At present, Iya continues to wow audiences as she not only hosts programs, but performs as well. Iya is known not only as a television personality, but an internet persona as well since she is one of the Filipino Twitter users with the most followers.

Beauty and brains best describe Iya, since she has proved that despite having multiple things going on, she could still make it to the top.
